Sistematics 4.2 Multirouter (S42 DK further) development kit is Orange Pi Zero Mini PCI-E Expansion Interface board with 4 LTE modems in hard case and CPU module fully equipped and ready to use by any DIY software developers

Based on the Orange Pi Zero CPU module it is fully compatible with any Armbian / OpenWRT OS without any commercial limitations to use for home and industrial purposes

Previously designed as proprietary telecom router of Sistematics Inc, now it is available for wide class of DIY developers as development kit, fully unlocked and ready to use with any software and OS supported by Orange Pi module

Features

S42 DK router provides a fully equipped telecom solution with 1 to 4 LTE modems on board.
Pre installed microSD card contains Armbian OS version 20.08 Focal with power control scripts (/opt)
Default address is 192.168.0.1 at LAN1, SSH access : root/12345
For using S42 DK in a car no additional power adapter is needed because of the wide 8-24V DC input voltage requirements
It is equipped with two additional Fast Ethernet 100Mbit plus existing 100 or 1000 (in case of using Orange Pi Zero+) ports, four Mini PCI-E slots with USB2.0 interface and SIM card lines.
S42 DK can be used as Ethernet-to-LTE router, it is provided without any restrictions to use for home, commercial or industrial applications.
One of the SMA/U.fl connectors can be used for attaching Orange’s build in WiFi to external antenna instead of LTE.

Integrated on board MCU with pre-installed firmware offers additional useful features via I2C /GPIO interface (see examples in /opt)

Powered by CR2032 onboard MCU offers rough RTC clock and measuring external power even for off-time which is useful for investigation power source interrupts.

Watchdog functionality can be used for keeping the device in work state even if software issues make it unstable.

Each Mini PCI-E slot can be switched on / off separately via GPIO interface, so in any case of unstable behavior the developer can reboot modules easily by setting 0 / 1 on the corresponding GPIO line.

With all these features S42 DK is the perfect solution for creating reliable and powerful telecom-grade routers.

It is available in several configurations, starting from bare motherboard to fully equipped router in case with antennas and power source.
